Can,t fault the Broad water Guest House.Super breakfast with a continental and a classic full English breakfast with locally sourced produce.Very contemporary furnished rooms with a high quality finish.A guest house for grown up people not a place for boisterous or vexacious inconsiderate types.Id reccomend this guest house.

Fantastic Stay
I stayed at Broadwater for 6 nights while attending a course. David, the owner, is lovely and can\'t do enough for you. There is no lift but David carries your luggage up and down the stairs. My room was extremely clean and stylishly furnished. Hot water was available no matter what time you showered and the bed was so comfortable. The room also had a (silent) small fridge where a bottle of mineral water was placed each day. Breakfast was fantastic. I\'m lactose intolerant and have never been so well catered for. My colleague is vegan and he was catered for very well too. There was porridge (with whisky if you like a wee dram in the morning), fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and then a fantastic cooked breakfast. The sausage were lovely, not the cheap yucky type. The B&B is located in a nice part of Morecambe on the seafront. I can\'t recommend this place highly enough.

Weekend
Spent a weekend there recently. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner. Nothing was too much trouble from the pot of tea on arrival to finding out information for us. We would\'nt hesitate to stay there again.

Lancaster Castle - Lancashire - Castle

Lancaster Castle - Lancashire - Castle

Distance 2.83 miles (4.52 km)
Lancaster Castle has dominated the town for almost 1000 years, but installations on the hill on which it stands goes back a thousand years further, almost to the birth of Christ. The Romans built the first of at least three military forts on the site in AD79. Little is known about Lancaster until 1093 when the Norman Baron, Roger of Poitou, built a small motte and bailey castle which was replaced 50 years later by a large stone Keep which still stands today as the oldest part of the Castle. Unfortunately, the Keep is part of the Castle which cannot be visited as it forms part of HM Prison Lancaster Castle. There are many things to see including where the Lancashire Witches were tried, beautiful Gillow furniture in the Grand Jury Room, the dungeons and drop room, hanging corner and the magnificent Shire Hall with its display of heraldic shields.

Heysham Golf Club - Morecambe - Golf

Distance 3.44 miles (5.5 km)
Although only a short distance from the Irish Sea, Heysham is not wholly a links but a very fertile grassland. It does however pose the challenges of a typical links. Laid out in 1929 by the noted firm of Hawtree and J H Taylor under the supervision of Alec Herd, it is a fair course with all the greens visible for the second shot. The clubhouse was built in the 1930s and has been improved over the years to include all of the facilities today's golfer expects. An unusual feature of Heysham is the number of par fours stretching more than 400 yards, of which there are seven.

Lancaster Golf Club - Lancaster - Golf

Distance 4.96 miles (7.94 km)
The home of Lancaster Golf Club is Ashton Hall which dates back to medieval times and has hosted kings of England in centuries gone by. It will not fail to impress even the most discerning visitor with its Gothic style architecture and superb setting, providing an unforgettable ambience. The Clubhouse therefore does justice to a most attractive, gently undulating parkland course on the Lune Estuary, measuring 6500 yards with a par of 71, and laid out by James Braid in 1932. We are proud to extend a warm welcome to all who visit our Club.
