Warm And Friendly
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Becketts. The renovation of this ancient barn has been extremely sensitively carried out. The dining room, particularly, is absolutely stunning. Ken and Jacqui are so very friendly and welcoming. Warm, comfortable and great breakfasts, with masses of choice. A great place to stay.

Perfect Stay
We stayed at Becketts B&B the night before and after a wedding. The stay was perfect. The room was very clean and bed very comfy. Breakfast was great. We arrived late on the Thursday night, and Jacqui recommended a local pub so we could get some dinner. The next morning after breakfast we sat in the sunshine in their lovely little garden before getting ready for the wedding. I\'d highly recommend Becketts B&B, it\'s a lovely place with great hosts.

Hi Roy

Hope all goes ok and hope to see you again in the future, Best wishes Jacqui and Ken.

Wonderful
Becketts is exactly what we think a great B&B should be. It\'s a beautiful barn conversion (converted by Ken himself) set in lovely, quiet Kent countryside. Jacqui and Ken are really friendly, cook a great fry up and helped us get acquainted with the local area when we first arrived.

The room was cosy, well equipped and we had two great night\'s sleep in the fantastic four poster bed.

Thanks for making us Northerners feel at home!

Perfect
We spent 3 nights at Becketts last week and we are so pleased that we chose this B&B. The four poster ensuite was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were very fulfilling and our hosts, Jacqui and Ken were very attentive as well as being interesting conversationalists. The house is very unique being converted from a genuine Sussex barn with all the original features preserved.

Hever Castle Golf Club -

Distance 2.98 miles (4.77 km)
The setting alone is inspiration enough at Hever Castle's 250 acre 27 hole course and traditional Tudor style clubhouse, nestling among the hills straddling the counties of Kent, Surrey and Sussex. A subtle blend of Historic charm, excellent service and facilities to accommodate all occasions gives Hever Castle Golf Club the reputation as one of the finest Golf and Hospitality Venues. The Hever Castle Estate reveals a rich and fascinating past. The oldest parts of the Castle date from the 13th century and later in the 1500s it was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. It was here that one Henry VIII first courted the young Anne and started the Royal connection with its ownership, which included Henrys fourth wife Anne of Cleves. An important transition for the Castle occurred in 1903 when it was purchased by William Waldorf Astor one of the richest men in America at the time, who invested his time, money and imagination in restoring the Castle and building the incredible Italian gardens and the Tudor Village which is now known as the Astor Wing.

Penshurst Place and Gardens - Historical Houses

Distance 3.97 miles (6.36 km)
Penshurst Place is one of England's finest historic houses set in the Weald of Kent's peaceful rural landscape. Built of local sandstone, the mediaeval house with its magnificent Barons Hall dates from 1341 and is one of the finest examples of 14th century architecture. Later additions have seen Penshurst Place grow into an imposing defended manor house, containing state-rooms filled with a remarkable collection of tapestries, paintings, furniture, porcelain and armour. Penshurst has been the ancestral home of the Sidney family since 1552 and successive generations have shaped its development. Penshurst's most famous son, Sir Philip Sidney, the chivalrous soldier poet, was a symbol of loyalty and bravery in the Elizabethan era. The Toy Museum, which includes the Yootha Rose Collection, creates memories of nurseries in years gone by, with dolls houses and toy soldiers as well as toys from several generations of Sidney children.
