Fantastic 5 Days
John and Linda were so very welcoming nothing was too much trouble. I needed an ice pack cooled for use each night - it was just done. The breakfast was excellent. John\'s advice on things to do was just great. We would come back and are more than happy to recommend Dunedin Guest House who was looking for a clean and friendly environment.

we were very pleased to stay at Dunedin guest house, very neat and clean, well maintained property in a peaceful location. John and Linda were fantastic host and very friendly to talk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them and would recommend anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Penzance, though it might be slightly expensive, specially during peak time

A Very Comfortable Guest House
We enjoyed our stay at the Dunedin and appreciated the fact that we had a downstairs room with no stairs to climb. The Guest House is decorated to a high standard and the rooms are very comfortable. The \"Free Parking\" is in actual fact street parking and not a private car park. Not a problem but it would have been helpful to know in advance.

Warm And Friendly Guest House
Excellent hosts and very friendly staff at breakfast, which was also top class. This accomodation was recommended for our by some friends who live a mile away. the parking outside to guest house was easy and plentiful and at no risk to our car. Bed linen, crisp and clean and warm room. What I would call a typicle guest house.

A Great Place To Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at the Dunedin guest house. From John\'s friendly welcome, advice on local attractions and eating places to assistance with travel arrangements we felt right at home. A warm, comfortable room and an excellent breakfast set us up for some wonderful sightseeing.

We would heartily recommend the Dunedin Guest House.

Perfect Stay
I cant stress enought how pleasant was our stay at Dunedin. Very friendly, polite and helpful owner and his wife. Neat and clean room and delicious breakfast.

Hotel is few minutes of walk from beach and city centre, in very calm location, main road is far, only thing you hear in the night are seagulls. Breakfast was really good with a lot of vairety, from classic british (or cornish) to continental cereals, toast and jam. But main reason, why it was such beautiful three days is simply the \"no stress, just enjoy\" feeling you got from the Dunedin and owners. Such hospitality is usually not seen these days.

A Great Spring Holiday
We had never been to Cornwall before and we relied on reviews prepared by others on their experiences of places to stay. The Dunedin Guest House had received positive reviews, which influenced our decision to stay there from 15 to 24 April this year. We were not disappointed; in fact we were delighted by its quality and the standard of its accommodation and also by the warm welcome we received from Linda and John, who could not have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them.

In addition to the high standards of the guest house, it is well situated, a short walk to the promenade, to the Navy Inn (which we would recommend for its warm atmosphere and personal service), to the Alverne Restaurant (which we would also recommend for the high quality of the food and service) and also close to Penlee House Gallery which we found to be better than the Tate at St. Ives.

We hope to return.

Recent Stay
A pleasant stay. Friendly and welcoming.Breakfasts very good, but hard luck if you only like \"Greek Style\" yoghurt.

The only down side was the inability to pay by any sort of card. A backward step in this day and age.

Response from Hotel
Thank you for taking the trouble to review your stay here and to address your negative comments:

Yours is the first complaint in 13 years regarding our breakfast menu, albeit the lack of choice other than \"Greek Style\" yoghurt but we will investigate Persian, Roman and perhaps Cornish style yoghurt.

Our decision not to accept credit/debit cards was made due to the high costs of such and the regulations regarding identity theft and fraud. We make no secret of this and it is highlighted on all the booking web sites we use, on our own web site and within the booking terms & conditions contained within the booking reminder e-mails sent to all our Guests. We do offer payment by Sterling cheques, travellers cheques, BACS or cash. Why should this be considered a backward step!

A Good Choice
We chose Dunedin for a two night stay before a trip to the Isles of Scilly. It was good choice, with a comfortable room, and very good breakfast. We were able to request an early breakfast in time to catch the ferry to the Scillies.

Comfortable Accommodation
John and Linda made us very welcome during our 5 night stay at The Dunedin. It was an extremely comfortable room, with fresh linen and towels and a brilliant, hot and forceful shower! The breakfast was piping hot, with a varied menu to suit all tastes on a daily basis. As we were visiting family, the area is known to us, but we would definitely stay at The Dunedin again.

St Michaels Mount - Cornwall - Landmark

Distance 3.14 miles (5.03 km)
This iconic island rises gracefully to the church and castle at its summit. Accessible on foot at low tide across a causeway, at other times it is reached by a short evocative boat trip. The oldest surviving buildings date from the 12th century, when a Benedictine priory was founded here. Following the English Civil War, the island was acquired by the St Aubyn family, who still live in the castle. In the intervening years many additions and alterations were made to convert it for use as a mansion house. Fascinating rooms from different eras include the mid-18th-century Gothick-style Blue Drawing Room.

This Celtic settlement was originally occupied almost 2,000 years ago. David had been a Golfer for many years and is a Past Captain of Old Fold Manor Golf Club in Barnet Herts. He came to Praa Sands with a good knowledge of the game and a love for it. Praa Sands golf club welcomes all visitors and non members to this lovely seaside course overlooking Mounts Bay. We are a nine hole course privately owned by Kate and David Phillips.
