Lovely Little B&b
This is a very cozy place to spent a few days while visiting Kent. The guest house is charming, the Goss Hall team is quite accommodating and friendly, and the food is also very good. The only downside for us was that we didn't have a car. You can walk to Sandwich (about 20-30 minutes), but otherwise we had to rely on a local taxi service. It is certainly possible to stay here without a car, but having one would have made travel a bit more convenient. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Delightful Bed And Breakfast
Elegant, quiet and comfortable. Our bathroom, not en-suite, presented difficulty with washing hands after make--up and brushing teeth. Only one small criticism: The bread for breakfast was commercial sliced and at that price we would have expected fresh baked.

Peace And Comfort
What a setting! A lovely B&B with a welcoming and helpful couple to match. My room (Carolina) was large and the bed was very comfortable. I also had sole use of a separate bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of choices and all very fresh. I travel a lot for work, staying in various hotels (some 5*) and B&Bs. Hands down Goss Hall B&B was, by far, one of the best. I hope to return very soon for another (non-work related) stay. Thank you Maggie and Steve.

Beautiful Surroundings And Excellent Accommodation.
This was our second stay at this wonderful B&B. We felt truly comfortable in the beautiful and relaxing surroundings. Elegant and spacious room and ours had a small terrace overlooking the garden. Delicious breakfast and our Host, Maggie, so delightful and warm and friendly. We hope very much to return as soon as we can.

Home From Home
Stayed here for a couple of nights - bliss. Literally like a home from home. Lovely place, perfect room & great people running it.

Very welcoming of my crazy hound as well, with his strange ways, even to the point of serving him his own breakfast.

There are hotels locally, but having visited one for work you'd be disappointed if you knew that you could've stayed at Goss Hall instead. Much friendlier, much more accommodating & much more the kind of place you'd want to stay.

The connection to the internet here was better than mine at home, and no limits or stupid captive portals or extra fees. Its just there & help yourself.

If you want to get away from the world & be in peace for a while, this is the place.

Pleasant Stay In A Lovely Guest House
When looking for comfort and good value for money for our short breaks, Goss Hall did not disappoint. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our lovely room with a stunning modern en-suite and views over the Kent countryside. With an excellent choice of breakfasts and after a good and quiet night's sleep we found Goss Hall to be the perfect location from which to explore this part of Kent. We would without doubt stay again at this delightful house for another relaxing break.

Relaxing Two Day Break
We decided to book this venue at the last minute. We were looking for peace and quiet in tranquil settings and we were not disappointed. Maggie was our host and I must say nothing was to much trouble, she was a constant professional with understanding and charm. The surroundings were nice, well kept and peaceful, also considering that we were near the main road, you could not hear the traffic from the venue at all. The rooms were very comfortable as were the beds (I suffer from a bad back and have an orthopaedic bed) I had no problems with being uncomfortable here. Breakfast was great. We had a nice choice of home cooked foods available as well as continental food stuffs with fresh fruit and very fresh pastries. We will be visiting again at some point in the future. Many thanks

The Birches/blackmans
We thought your home and grounds were stunning! Our son particularly loved climbing your trees! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Maggie and her family made us feel very welcome and the breakfasts were gorgeous. My only comment I wanted to make is that the granary accommodation, although very comfortable and beautifully furnished, was very hot in the night possibly due to lack of large windows...a fan might have helped! But only a minor quibble. We will definitely come back and hopefully with our dog next time. Thank you very much.

we stayed for 1 night. as we arrived early, the team at Goss Hall turned the room around very quickly following the previous guests, which we were thankful for.

The room itself was well appointed, spacious an clean. breakfast was also very good (the toast came out hot and the butter was soft - too many B&Bs still manage to get this wrong!).

Lovely People, Lovely Place
We (plus the two dogs) have just come back from a wonderful 4 day break. Where do I start? The room was immaculate, well stocked with goodies, the ensuite brilliant the room tastefully decorated. A lovely place with attention to detail.

Now the location...beautiful, well tended and large gardens, lots of birds, ducks, geese and the odd sheep! the dogs were given free reign and were made as welcome as us and were spoilt rotten (plates of sausage at breakfast).

I can't finish without mentioning Maggie and her staff, who worked hard, nothing was too much trouble and had a genuine, lovely cheery disposition.

We simply loved our time here...The only shame was That I had to work.

So, we have promised ourselves another visit later in the year.

Superb Bed And Breakfast
We have just returned from a delightful two night stay at Goss Hall. We were due to attend a family wedding on the day of our arrival and Maggie the owner of Goss Hall could not have been more helpful; she booked a taxi for us and also altered the booking when we had to ring her from the motorway to say we would be late. Our room was perfect for the four of us; very comfortable and very well equipped. The breakfast was outstanding. Goss Hall is perfectly situated in beautiful countryside but not far from the road between Canterbury and Sandwich, a short drive from both. We made use of our time to visit these places and others in Kent, and Goss Hall was the perfect base. We can't recommend it too highly, thank you!

The Best!
What a first class B&B this is, it really sets the bar very high for others to aim for. Just shows how well it can be done. A lovely old house in perfect grounds, with excellent facilities. A really comfortable bed, (the best I have ever slept in in a hotel or B&B ever!) wonderful breakfasts, polite cheerful staff, non-intrusive but there if you need help. We stayed in the Granary, newly converted and to a very high standard, the interiors were great, lovely views, and so quiet, it suited us perfectly. A Little Gem
Absolutely fantastic place to stay...gorgeous surroundings, great decor and attention to detail, fab breakfast choice but most importantly Maggie was welcoming and accommodating with just the right amount attention-I stayed with my Mum and niece in the lead up to my wedding and I'm so glad I chose Goss Hall as Maggie was so accommodating-she even looked after Dolly our dog rather than put her in kennels on our big day which was such a relief. All those that visited the house in the preparation all commented that they would love to stay and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. My now husband and I plan to return for future anniversaries. As I put in their guest book, from the B&Bs I've stated in this was the best and actually better than most hotels as well. Perfect.

Deal Castle is one of the finest Tudor artillery works in England. It was built as part of a chain of coastal fortresses at great speed between 1539 and 1540, by order of King Henry VIII, who feared an invasion by the Catholic powers of Europe. Its squat, rounded turrets were designed to deflect incoming cannon fire and act as platforms from which to launch barrages from increasingly sophisticated artillery pieces. Along with Walmer Castle and the largely vanished Sandown Castle, Deal guarded the sheltered anchorage of the Downs the stretch of water between the shore and the infamous Goodwin Sands, a graveyard of ships. Today, you can explore the whole of the castle from the storerooms to the first-floor captains residence.
